Eugen Varzić (1972) graduated from Academy of fine arts Rijeka (Croatia) in 1999 with a degree in painting. Ever since, Varzić has exhibited his work in over a hundred solo exhibitions and group shows both in Croatia and abroad. In his paintings, so and owing materials such as fabric, skin and hair are replaced by patterns of geometrical shapes that organically seem to conform to the original matter. He has exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions, and on more than a hundred group exhibitions at home and abroad. He has led several art projects (Street art Poreč 2001, 2002, Ex Tempore Nova Vas 2009, 2010 and ex tempore Funtana 2011) and has participated in international art project (Italia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Russia and Slovenia). His paintings are in many public and private spaces as well as in sacred spaces and churches. He is author of two public sculptures done in mosaic which are placed in Porec. Occasionally engaged in the design, short film, illustration and conducting art workshops. On the first TEDx conference gave a speech titled Art as breathing. In 2016. and 2017. he participated on painting workshops conducted by Eloy Morales. As a freelance artist lives and works in Kufci, Istria, Croatia.
